Really nice shady trail, had brunch at a picnic table and my dog loved the park too!

Nice trails and well maintained areas. Hiking is easy, mostly flat. There’s a bit of climbing near the waterfall if you want. Very enjoyable indeed.

This 9.4-acre park is mainly a little league softball and baseball field; there is an all-purpose field, with four fields total. A small picnic area with a couple of tables is located near the parking lot; the lot was spacious. It is open from 8am-8pm from April to November 15. There were signs mentioning that this park is home of Avon Little League Boys’ Baseball and Girls’ Softball. There are batting cages and a snack shack.
We went when there wasn’t a game going on and it was quiet. I’m sure it gets packed during games. Also, the Farmington Canal Greenway is right next to the park. Overall, a nicely maintained park; there were some potholes on the parking lot so be aware of that when driving.

I live next to this park. It’s wonderful hearing the kids playing, the crack of the bat, music they play in between games….snack shack has good park food too. And I have a little free library on my front lawn just steps away, so visit it!
