WB MUD Dog Park, located at 2801 Sauls Dr in North Austin, is a top choice for dog owners looking for a fun and secure off-leash experience. This well-maintained, wheelchair-accessible park offers three distinct play areas—one exclusively for small dogs and two that can be split or combined for medium and large dogs, giving your pups plenty of room to run, socialize, and explore. The sturdy 6-foot fence and heavy-duty gates provide peace of mind for owners, while the natural grass, crushed granite surfaces, tunnels, mounds, and water fountains add excitement for your furry friends.
The park features ample parking, stone seating areas, and a friendly, attentive dog-owner community that helps keep the park clean and welcoming. While shade is limited, visitors are encouraged to bring hats or sun protection, especially during busy evenings and weekends. Overall, WB MUD stands out among Austin dog parks for its thoughtful design, cleanliness, and vibrant local dog-loving community.
When I tell you my dog and I love this park! She had so much room she didn’t know what to do with her self! She played & had so much fun. Who ever is behind this park I can tell they really love dogs just as much as I do if not more🥰
This is a really nice dog park with a lot of space for dogs to run around. I like that some areas are separated incase there’s any dogs that may not be as social. My biggest complaint is there isn’t many obstacles for the dogs to play on. Other than that the park is beautiful. Recommend it
WB is one of the cleaner dog parks, which is a definite plus. This is due in large part to the dog owners who keep a close watch of their pups. This park, though medium to small, is well-maintained. There are three areas. One for small dogs. Another area for large dogs that can be separated by a fence. Every so often, this bigger section is closed off to let the grass revive after a rain or maintenance.
There are water fountains, a few berms, or mounds topped by fake grass. Otherwise, the park is all natural turf that is in good, green shape despite all the wear and tear from dog use.
There are large stones provided as benches but few covers from the sun. So, be prepared with hat and sunscreen.
The park tends to get busy after five and around dusk, at least in the summer when temps are more tolerable.
Compared to other fenced dog parks, WB is very good. The metal gates to enter/exit the park are heavy metal and function well. The perimeter fence is 6ft high enough to secure all dogs. Some parks like the Cedar Park dog park on New Hope has a 5 ft fence, which I think is a bit too low.
3 separate areas for your pups – 1 for the smaller ones. The 2 Larger areas are separated, but can be combined for a very large dog area. Plenty of water. Neat hill features with tunnels that my 2 pups really enjoyed. The dog parents are attentive and friendly.
This is awesome park.
There are 3 areas where your dog can play.
Small dogs have a separate area with it’s own entrance. The ground cover for the small dog side is crushed granite.
Medium and large dog have a separate area with it’s own entrance. The 2 areas are combined by opening the gate in the middle. The ground cover for medium and large dog has section of grass and sections of crushed granite.
Water fountain for dogs inside the park on both sides.
Plenty of parking space.
Maintenance closes the park every Thursday morning for few hours.
