Auditorium Shores Dog Park is a popular off-leash area along Lady Bird Lake, providing Austin dog owners a scenic and central place to exercise their pets. Known for its open green spaces, pet-friendly trails, and waterfront views, this dog park offers pups plenty of room to run, play, and even cool off with water access points. While not fully fenced, there are some barriers to keep dogs away from traffic, but it’s important to note there are openings, so attentive supervision is recommended, especially for dogs with poor recall. The park is wheelchair accessible and has plenty of shade and picnic tables, making it a great spot for both pets and humans to relax.
Other unique amenities include seating areas and shady spots for warm Texas days, as well as direct access to Lady Bird Lake where pups can splash and swim. Parking can be a challenge, particularly on weekends or during events, so it’s advisable to plan ahead. With its beautiful landscaping and proximity to downtown, Auditorium Shores Dog Park stands out as a vibrant, dog-friendly destination in Austin.
nice park can get somewhat congested with a load in fir next Saturday and Sunday show. goid place though nice people, security super cool. see y’all next Monday on a loadout.
Great spot for pups to play and cool off in the water. This off-leash area is inside the park and has water access points. There are shady areas and tables/seating to cool off at. It isn’t fully fenced in, there is just fence that corrals the dogs away from the road, but still has openings to enter. The worst part is finding parking. Our dogs had a lot of fun!
This is not a dog park. It is a normal park that happens to allow dogs. Its wide open to the busy streets and cars. This is stupid.
While the backdrop is absolutely gorgeous, the off leash dog park is very inaccessible from the parking lot. Our dog is older and he loves to walk around off leash, but he was unable to do the long walk from the parking lot. We even drove around, trying to find closer parking and everything was either taken or it was still a very long walk. There’s so much beautiful greenery around it, but has signs that say dogs must be leashed. It’s a pity because we drove all the way from Pflugerville and he could not make it to the off leash area. .
Great park to bring your dog off leash. Tons of running space. A little water section for them to cool off in and lots of shade areas. It is not a fenced dog park though so keep that in mind. Bring a towel or blanket and just lay out all day!
