great place very impressed so secluded and your in the woods for a long way. the only catch is if your going to the fire tower make sure you don’t go to the right follow the red to the left or else your going back out to route 22 which i did and back. also once you get to the fire tower trail sign its a hike since i only got to the second bridge and went past it didn’t see tower turned back. I was topd if you park at the other road its not as long to the tower. seems alot do mountain bike in their

Awesome little camping area, with very little traffic. We even found wild strawberries and blackberries around the campsite. Don’t be deterred by the tall grass- this is a hidden gem! Quiet and secluded, but quick and easy access to the highway.

Went for a hike and there were gun shots going off so close to us because of hunting season. Did not feel safe at all.

This is an excellent state forest with several miles of trail. There are some mountain summits and even one on the border with Massachusetts. There is good signage marking out the trail. There are a few parking areas. All the roads are gravel. Trails are well groomed.

The views at the top were awesome. A picture can’t do it justice. Harvey Mtn. and Beebe Hill contain some great and well maintained mountain biking/hiking trails by the Columbia County Mountain Bike Alliance. Thanks for these great trails! Most of them are on trailforks app.
