Really pretty woodland trail. Not very long and not only slight gradients so suitable for all ages. Marshland or boardwalk is currently closed and alot of the boardwalk is sunken into the lake/stream. I found out the hard way. Lol all in all enjoyable!
Some lovely places to picnic or camp.
The gazebo area near the parking lot has free books to read while there, which is very nice. And a coal BBQ area.

Such a great and beautiful place. There’s a large nature preserve. A big forest with wild animals. A beautiful cabin for cooking and gatherings. And 5 cute cabins with bunk beds, behind the large cabin. A downhill fire pit with tables. A grill near the large cabin. A bathroom building nearby. I’ve been 2 times, in the last 2 years.

Beautiful groomed trails. True to its namesake you’ll see hawks above and many other winged beings, super tranquil woods any time of year.

Beautiful park!!! New events building built in 2020 and it’s gorgeous! They also have new log cabins for group camping. Looking at the website. rental is inexpensive. Trails of several different types: nature paths through woods, wide walking path around a pond, boardwalk area near a marsh. Tons of wildflowers. We were the only people there on 4th of July weekend when we went for a walk.

I came out here looking to hike some trails. I would like to usually hike a couple miles when I go out but this place really wasn’t too big. One of the main trails circled a pond, there is a side trail that went through the woods. It was decently maintained trails probably best for walking your dog or taking the kids outside. There was a playground.
