This place is very cute. Open to swimming. It is a park. So you pay the NULL for the beach. And then you can walk into the river. You have a parking spot. No tables for barbecue in.

This trail hooks up to many others that are steep with beautiful views. Several of the trails that intersect with this one are also part of the Western States Ultra race. If you decide to go uphill bring good shoes, water and high energy gels,

Confluence Trail – a great workout with a gradual climb along the American River. It was so refreshing to cool my feet in the river after the hike. Day-use parking is NULL.

Beautiful trail along side the American river. Lot of bikers and few hikers were on this trail. Starting point is opposite to the clementine trail. It was marked closed due to landslide earlier. You can get down to the river bank, water flow was high. Hike was moderate 4mi round trip. This is not busy as other trails in Auburn sra, visit this to avoid crowd. Enjoyed the hike!

Soil Solutions Homestead

Moderate level trail about 3.5 miles total for an out and back hike. Trails are pretty narrow except for the end. Beautiful views of the river. Picnic tables at the trailhead but none along the way or at the other end. NULL to park. Vault toilets.
