AuTrain beach
AuTrain Beach offers a beautiful, easily accessible sandy shoreline at the meeting point of the AuTrain River and Lake Superior. It features plenty of free parking, soft sand with views perfect for picnics and watching sunsets, and a shallow swim area, although the water may sometimes be cool or rough. Amenities include a toilet and a quick walk down a dune to the water, making it a great spot for relaxing by the water.

Nice beach on Lake Superior. Easily accessible the beach is also connected with the outlet of the river. The water is generally shallow, though can be sometimes rough if there is a strong north wind. It’s a great place to stop and hang out!

Awesome beach! Free parking, a toilet, and a really nice sandy beach with no rocks or shells. Quick walk down the dune to the water. Couldn’t ask for anything else.
Au Train Beach is awesome! In summer, the water gets warm enough for swimming, there is plenty of sandy shore to spread out a blanket and a picnic, and the views are amazing.
Great beach with lots of parking, easy access, soft sand, and great views. We visited in early June and while we thought the water was too cold for swimming, there were others in the water. Great spot to watch the sunset as well.
