I loved exploring the preserve. Most trails are marked. There is some elevation and one vertical hill on if you choose to climb it. Seeing where Washington hid his horses from the British during the revolutionary war was a real treat.

The woods are relatively close to my house. I have literally driven by thousands of times. One day I decided to stop. I fell in love…with the trails, the woods, the local peanut stone, the painted rocks left by hikers. I see something new every time I come. I now visit frequently. Definitely worth the visit.
