🐾 Kids at the Dog Park: Real Stories, Safety Risks & Smarter Solutions
If you’ve spent time at an off-leash park, you’ve probably seen it:A parent strolls in with a stroller 🚼 or […]
Located within the Vinings Mountain Apartments complex, this small, private dog park in Atlanta, Georgia offers an exclusive off-leash area for residents and their pets. Although fenced and accessible for all sizes of dogs, reviewers note the space is quite limited and often in need of maintenance with broken gates and muddy patches. Despite being pet-friendly and wheelchair accessible with nearby parking, the park’s upkeep and cleanliness are ongoing concerns.
This dog park features basic amenities, including benches for owners and a poop bag station, though it is located outside the gate. Unfortunately, there is no separate enclosure for small or large dogs, and amenities such as water fountains or agility equipment are lacking. The park sees little traffic, making it a quieter choice for off-leash fun, but residents point out the need for improved management and more regular cleaning.
So small it cant be called a dog park. Muddy, ill kempt, with broken gates.
I live in the apartments here. The grass is bad, users don’t pick up poop and gates are broken! Needs a lot of improvements and maintenance done.
This is a private dog park for the Residences at Vinings Mountain apartments. Management does not maintain the park and gates are constantly broken. Area is very small and because people don’t pick up after their pets it is also filthy. Even residents avoid taking their dogs here. Go to Burger Park instead.
Great service from Katrina Hammond in a recent tour of the facilities at Vinings Mountain. She is thorough, very professional and knowledgeable. She was able to successfully multi-task while several potential and current residence flooded her with questions. I felt as important as anyone else there…..that’s great customer service and it felt as if she was the only one there. This is extremely difficult with very demanding customers, but she did an awesome job!!!
The actual space is nice, barely any grass but my main reason for not putting 5 stars is:
1) NO ONE GOES HERE (maybe the community should create some doggy related events to inspire people to use this dog park)
2) There is no water area to give water to your dog
3) The poop bag station is outside of the enclosure which to me makes no sense.
4) one of the gates is broken
Other than that it’s actually very nice and has 2 benches and is well kept. Would love to see some dogs here so my Mocha can have some off leash fun!
