No animal deserves to be left some where or picked up by someone else because we don’t have the time or money. I know we are all hurting these days money wise, dont take it out on animals. WE ALL LOVE ANIMALS AND ARE TRYING TO DO WHATS BEST FOR THEM. EVERYONE IS TRYING THEIR BEST.

I’ve seen a lot of animal shelters before and I was very impressed with this one. Visited it for the first time today, the staff were friendly and willing to answer all my questions, the animals were in very clean and well cared for kennels. Highly recommend if anyone is looking for a new furry baby or family member.

They actually give you HONEST ANSWERS unlike a lot of shelters around this area. If you want to owner surrender they tell you to use them as the last option due to them being full and can only take owner surrenders for euthanasia. Surrendering is 40.00 dollars per animal and that is reasonable and a lot cheaper than our other shelter in Henderson county. You can adopt a dog or cat and it’s fully vetted. Spayed/neutered, microchipped, vaccinations, flea and tick and dewormer. Adoptions range from 100.00 to 200.00 dollars. The staff is very nice and seem like they really care about the animals. They have gotten a lot of animals of Texas and just had a really big adoption event where they got more than 60 pets out. The shelter is very clean for how old it is.

DISGUSTING is the only word I can think of that comes to mind. Called to inquire about surrendering pups as I just don’t have the space for them, and it costs so much to feed them. I want them to go to a nice, family that will treat them right and can give them the proper nurturing they need. Instead I was told because the shelter is full, I would have to pay ? for the first pup, and ? for each additional pup to EUTHANIZE them. I am sickened and disgusted that this would even be something they recommended! Just say you don’t have the space for them. Y’all are really KILLING animals because you don’t have the space?! And their PUPPIES at that still babies and you want to kill them. I can’t imagine what conditions these animals are living in after I was told this. I do not recommend this shelter at all! BEWARE: THEY WILL EUTHANATIZE the animals you are surrendering! If you care about animals at all, avoid this shelter at all costs!
