A nice off the beaten path park. I only came during winter time so far but I will come back in the summer for sure. Make sure you have 4 wheel drive if you come during the winter. The roads are mostly plowed but only in a few spots you might have a little more snow.

Gorgeous! This is going on the rotation. My wife found it by accident looking to break up the trip from Milwaukee to the Apostle Islands, and what a great find. Will spend multiple days next time!

Very clean and well maintained park with wonderful waterfalls and hiking paths. The hiking was very easy and dont have and steep or uneven stretches.

Goodman County Park is a gem. It is a bit remote, but the setting is breathtaking. It is connected by a long hiking trail to McClintock County Park which is even more beautiful.

Stay at the campgrounds or group campground here, or rent the cabin at the park.

The rates on the cabin are reasonable, and there is a full bathroom, space for at least 11 adults to sleep (even though supposedly you are only supposed to have 5 adults), full kitchen with dishes and utensils, fridge, and full size range and oven. There are two bedrooms in the cabin with a total of 4 bunk spaces in each. There are two recliners, a couch, and a table in the living room. The spacious porch has a table and chairs. Be sure to let them know if your check in time is going to be different from what you put down when you register for the rental. Kurt and the other gentleman who run the place are nice guys that work pretty hard, so don’t abuse their time.

There are also two lodges available for rental for parties, reunions, graduations, etc.

Enjoy hikes around the park to check out Strong Falls and other features on the Peshtigo River. This is a perfect fall colors location.

So far, I have yet to ever catch any trout in the area on the Peshtigo, but I am told there are some here. In any event, it is always great to get outside in such a beautiful setting.

I first visited this park after a raft trip down the Peshtigo River in the late 80s. Having now revisited (August of 24), I can say it’s as beautiful as I remembered. This may be the most scenic county park in the state of Wisconsin. The waterfall tour of Marinette County is a worthwhile effort.
