🐾 Kids at the Dog Park: Real Stories, Safety Risks & Smarter Solutions
If you’ve spent time at an off-leash park, you’ve probably seen it:A parent strolls in with a stroller 🚼 or […]
Hallets Cove Playground, located at 30-02 Vernon Blvd, offers one of the most scenic and spacious recreational areas in Astoria, New York. While primarily known as a children’s playground, it features expansive paved paths and open spaces ideal for walking your dog, biking, skating, and other family-focused outdoor activities. Its proximity to local landmarks and convenient access for ferry commuters make it a popular option for both locals and visitors wanting a pet-friendly spot in NYC.
The park is known for its well-maintained grounds, beautiful views, and a welcoming atmosphere. Dog owners will appreciate the ample space for leashed walks and the relaxed environment, though it’s important to note that this is not a dedicated off-leash dog park. With basketball courts, handball areas, and seating options, the park is perfect for families and pet owners seeking a safe, open area to enjoy with their pets. The playground’s continual upkeep and community support help keep it clean and pleasant for everyone.
Enjoy the best park for your kids in front of holly rosary school I go there all the time with my son
Love this playground, never crowded, kids love the view, there’s lots of space to ride bikes, skates, scooters and handball, basketball and baseball field.
Such a nice playground kids nowadays have it good, a big change from how parks were in the 90s, that being said im from the bx so i have no clue if this park always looked this nice either way its legit
Great new park with basketball courts, tennis walls, and running track (cement)
Such an interesting juxtaposition. I’ll just leave it at that, but I’m happy that this park is being maintained better than some that are adjacent to NYCHA bldgs. It’s obvious that it’s due to the ferry service and commuters that have to pass the area to get to the ferry.
I hope that it continues to be maintained as we enjoyed visiting this plsyground and park.
