If you’re searching for a beautiful spot to walk your dog near Ashville, New York, Dobbins Woods Preserve offers a peaceful, pet-friendly escape with scenic loop trails through the woods. Popular with local families and hikers, this Chautauqua County destination is loved for its well-maintained paths, abundant birdlife and mushrooms, and a litter-free environment. The hiking trails make the park perfect for walking your furry companion, as well as getting some exercise yourself.
The preserve features easy-to-moderate trail loops suitable for kids and dogs, although it can get muddy after rain and has some darker, shaded areas, typical of a woodland setting. Remember to keep your dog leashed and be prepared for a rustic, nature-focused experience!
Excellent trail and hike. Really enjoyed the peace and quiet. Decent morning walk and exercise.
Nice secluded trail. Not much to see. However still a great loop trail for kids. Little over an hour hike.
My 3 & 2 year old did the hike good. First loop is better than the second. Second loop was more mud and some thorns. All in all, was very nice.
wonderful place to hike, but it is dark in some areas and can be muddy as all woods are.
Beautiful woods, well kept trail, lots of mushrooms and birds. This is probably the only trail I’ve ever been on with no litter. Hopefully new visitors keep it that way. 🙂
