Known for its beautiful lake views, well-maintained trails, and easy walks along flat gravel paths, this park is a local favorite for dog-friendly hiking and relaxed outdoor experiences. Enjoy early morning or afternoon strolls around the pond, spot wildlife, or simply sit on a bench and soak in the serenity.
This park is unique for its combination of natural wetlands, a fossil pit adventure for curious explorers, and access to the Swatara Rail Trail for longer hiking or biking journeys. With ample parking, public restrooms, and recreational features such as fishing, kayaking, and picnic areas, visitors can easily plan a full day in this family- and pet-friendly environment. The nearby lake and creek let dogs cool off, and the broad, accessible trails cater to walkers, cyclists, and equestrians alike. If you enjoy exploring the outdoors with your pup, the Bolich Wetland Project offers a special spot to play, relax, and discover new trails together.
This is a great place to take a nice about two mile round trip hike to the west, and at the parking area is another nice little walk around the pond, well worth to explore.
I did not initially realize there was more than one trail as only the shorter one is on Google maps. The longer one across the road from the pond is a 1 mile out and back that terminate somewhere around Route 81.
I walk around the pond a few times a week with my dogs. they enjoy running around there…I enjoy looking for wildlife…..before I leave I sit on the bench and enjoy the water and the serenity…
Was nice but would not return. Trail needs better markings and doesn’t rate the best with other trails I been on.
What a wonderful find! Quiet. Easy to walk. Beautiful. There were a few friendly people there when we were there; fishing and walking their dogs. Take bug spray!
