Good park with several nice trails and a public beach, but if you want to hang out at the beach prepare to constant smoke smell from barbecues all around (no limitations over personal ones either), pretty thin layer of sand and a lot of loud music turning into a constant noise, especially on weekends and holidays. So it’s a pretty crowded beach but otherwise a very nice and picturesque park.

Lovely place, beautiful water view. Park, walk, find a spot, place the jamac, cool day, blanket and a nap. You can grill is you like.

Ashland State Park is a great spot for a laid-back day outdoors. The trails around the reservoir are easy and offer nice views of the water, perfect for a casual hike or walk. It’s not a huge park, but it’s quiet and peaceful, especially on weekdays. The small beach is nice for a swim, and there are picnic areas if you want to hang out by the water. Parking is easy to find, though it gets busier on weekends. Overall, it’s a solid place to enjoy nature without going far from the city.

Very nice place for a walk. Not crowded at all after season. About 4mi trail around the reservoir. Easy terrain.
