Visiting the dog park can be a joyful activity for both you and your furry friend—but aggressive encounters can quickly […]
Located at 100 Preacher Ln, Ashland City Dog Park is a local favorite for dog owners seeking a safe and spacious environment for their pets. This well-maintained, wheelchair-accessible dog park offers separate fenced areas for small and large breeds, giving your pup room to run and plenty of opportunities for play and socialization. With sturdy fencing and double-gated entry, you can relax while your dog enjoys the freedom of being off-leash in a secure setting.
Visitors will appreciate the provision of poop bags, trash cans, and ample seating for owners. A dedicated dog water fountain is available near the entrance, though bringing extra water for hot days is recommended, as shade is limited with just a couple of small trees. Regular maintenance keeps the grounds tidy and safe, making this a top spot for pet-friendly fun in Ashland City. Whether your dog is eager for zoomies or you’re looking for a friendly local gathering spot, Ashland City Dog Park stands out for its clean and inviting atmosphere.
I am thrilled about the dog park. Such a great use of the space! It’s nice to have two different areas since my dog is under 10 pounds. I do wish that there was a water source during the summer, and also that benches for the people were available- but I’m not complaining. Just a suggestion! It’s never been ultra crowded, sometimes we’ve been and there’s no one. I do wish more people would use it, my dog needs the socialization. Around 5 seems to be when most people come.
The doggos always have a blast when they come here! There is a large fenced in section for the bigger doggos and a smaller section for the little doggos. There is plenty of space to run and get all of their zoomies out! The fencing is very sturdy and secure. There are 2 small trees but only one really gives shade. I’d definitely recommend bringing an umbrella or wearing sunscreen! The built in doggo water fountain is also great! If your doggo is a heavy player I’d also recommend a bowl you can fill up with water and actually bring in the park since the water fountain is just outside the gate. This place is always well maintained grass wise and poop wise.
The only critique I have is some shade would be nice for hot days. But the dogs love coming here and running off some steam. Apparently, some dog owners can’t read because they don’t clean up after their dogs even though many signs are posted. Overall, we enjoy this park and come a couple times a week. The town keeps it mowed and tidy.
Great that the larger dog’s area is separate from the small breeds but not one area of shade in either, which, to be honest is unexcused. Plus it took me forever to fill up my little water bottle for my pup because the water flow was just a trickle. We didn’t stay. It wouldn’t take anything to plant a few shade trees. Heck I’m sure even the users of this place would pitch in if the city park can’t afford it.
Two separate enclosed areas one for big dogs the other for small dogs. Lots of space to run, play, walk around and enjoy the day. Doggie bags provided and trash cans. Good amount of seating. Some tennis balls randomly on the ground to play with is fun. Clean park.
