Gorgeous little park with a crystal clear creek and a nice trail loop into the woods. Very dog and kid friendly space. I love the old wooden bridges and paths. I just wish there was a bit more parking. The locals turned me on to this space and I’m very glad they did. Will return in the fall to see how it looks when the leaves change color.

This would have been 5 star except for the bathrooms. I wouldn’t take my dog in there. The grounds are really nice and the kids loved the play area.

Nice pool though pool bottom is rough concrete. They have shower curtains in ladies showers this year, but don’t have anywhere to plug up blow dryers or curling or straightening irons. Bring your own towels. Shoes needed on pool deck which gets extremely HOT!🔥 you might want water shoes in the pool unless you like the exfoliative concrete. They have a small water slide, diving board, and shallow area for little tykes. Pool hours are very limited. Call ahead or check Asheboro recreation web site. Pool is closed early in August for the season unfortunately. Handicapped lift available to access pool as well as small steps with handrails. Handicapped access to pool is uphill from parking lot with paved sidewalk. I haven’t looked at toilet and shower accessibility for handicapped.

And I look this one up. I saw that it was the third most popular park in the area. Currently the pool is closed. We did go to the number one most popular Park and I have to say that I like this one better. Just a personal opinion, there’s actually a parking lot to park your car in and lots of families come with kids and it just needs a little freshening up and it would be number one.

It was a really nice park to go to end our trip. The deputy came out and gave us stickers and it was clean and comfortable. Grandson loved the slides
