FAQ for Crandall Field Park in Ashaway Rhode Island:
Ran our dogs here on a very wet Thanksgiving day, so park was empty. Great wide open spaces, play structure for kids. Not sure if there are other amenities, but we weren’t there for that.
Used to be an awesome, unique wooden playground, but now has been torn down. Not sure if a new playground will go in it’s place. But the basketball courts and big open field with with small pond is still there and it’s a great place to fly kites or let dog/kids run around.
Cool playground but beware of bees and broken parts. See photo for bees we saw in the tire swing.
I love this park…my kids are all about ninja warriors junior and this park feeds their need to climb, jump, scale and run over and under any thing they can. This park has everything from sand volleyball court, tennis and baseball diamond to a little pond with ducks on top of everything else the castle playground. Such a great place to set up shop for a few hours and let the kids run wild.
Amazing amount of outdoor space with a great wooden playground with appropriate features for almost every family. Tennis, basketball, volleyball, and open fields make this visit a versatile space to explore. Plenty of trash cans (no public restrooms or water fountains), picnic tables nicely spread out (no shaded seating). It’s a great stop to let children have fun and explore!
