If you’re seeking a beautiful dog-friendly trail in Arlington, TX, River Legacy Park East Trailhead Parking is a top choice. This park offers plenty of free parking and access to a gorgeous, tree-lined paved trail—perfect for both you and your furry friend. The trail is relatively flat and stretches for more than five miles, connecting to the Centreport TRE station and the nearby Viridian development. The abundance of shaded areas makes it a comfortable year-round destination for dog walking or pet-friendly biking.
While the park mostly features walking and biking opportunities, it does have a portapotty on-site and free admission. It’s important to note: currently, the connection to the main River Legacy Park and some adjacent residential trails is temporarily closed for repairs due to erosion. Trail access is open daily except from 10 PM to 6 AM. Come enjoy one of Arlington’s best pet-friendly trails with scenic views and a peaceful atmosphere.
