Our favorite place to camp. Close to home but far enough to make a weekend get away. Camp hosts are awesome. Clean and beautiful.
I will say up front here that did not camp here. My family and I come to Argonia to fish the river occassionally. The parks bath houses are small/personal really as they accommodate only 1 person at a time. Nice shelter houses with a water supply. I believe there are grills at each of the two shelter houses. The upper shelter house has a large comfortable deck over looking the river area. There are decent playgrounds for younger children as well.
Fishing was great. The park was very well maintained, quiet, and is a very cozy place to spend time with family and friends. The bathrooms have a shower and I was extremely impressed with how clean they were. Very cool park!!
This is a wonderful small city campground with one each M&F bathroom with shower. Be sure you’re not showering when there’s a tornado because the bath house doubles as a tornado shelter. The numbers for each site are so small though, I had to get out of my vehicle to see them. Parking is grass. Electric and water hookups cost NULL, additional septic is NULL, plus there is a dumpster. There is a City Park and trail that follows the river just below the campground (check for ticks!).
Awesome RV/Tent park. Electric, water, sewer, and Wi-Fi available. RV spots are pull through. We setup tent with power NULL a day, RVs are NULL a day. We were here in March, only had to fight the winds. Great place for families, play ground and river to explore. Very clean. Bathrooms are closed until April 1st. Small awesome town, only one convenience store on 160 so stop before you park.
