FAQ for Jake Rusher Park in Arden North Carolina:
Quaint little park in a quiet neighborhood with a very nice walking path, playground area, and mature trees for shade on warmer summer days. The restrooms, while relatively clean, could use some attention to outdoor maintenance (cleaning and paint), and the water fountain, which includes a pet portal, was not working during our visit. Overall, a very nice park.
A trip down memory lane; this playground is nostalgic.
You can’t find many, if not any, wooden playgrounds anymore.
Well maintained and beautiful.
Pavilion, restrooms, and plenty of opportunity for children to explore.
Eye spy on the playground and good parking space (free).
We are not locals but found this playground 10 minutes away from our hotel, and it’s great. It’s worth the visit!
We absolutely love this kids park and we always bring our big dog too! We’ve met some great friends here. You can book it for a birthday party or event for NULL for the whole day.
Super cute park lots to do, sidewalk all the way around the park. It’s pet friendly, has restrooms, covered picnic tables, water and doggy waste stations. 10 out of 10!
I don’t know what it is about amazing Parks not having a designated bathroom area, but this is definitely one of them! This playground is a fortress! It’s amazing! There’re so many crawl spaces and climbing spots and loads of ways for kids to use their creativity and play. They have a toddler area that had a sand pit. It requires adult supervision, but it’s easy enough to keep track of your child in that area. There are plenty slides, monkey bar type areas, climbing, seating, swings, and so much more! There were a few picnic tables around the outside of the fenced-off playground area. And, a small gazebo looking Pavilion area. It was quite quaint and outside of the fenced area was a walking area and a field they can run around. The parking lot isn’t the greatest, but I don’t really care about that. My daughter loves swings, but there was so much to explore and play with at this park that she didn’t even touch the swings. Usually, all we do is push her on the swing but this park was different. It was quite refreshing 🙂 if this park had a designated bathroom area, I would give it a 5-star rating.
