FAQ for Lost River Motel in Arco Idaho:
Great location and unique/kitchy/lovely exterior decor. Room prices are reflective of the rooms. Super nice couple that own and operate the property.
Stayed in our RV at this location. This campground needs some love. Bathrooms were clean, but the whole campground was pretty run down. The “compound ” next door played reveille every morning on loud speakers, along with the Pledge of Allegiance and the National Anthem each evening at sunset. Not really annoying, just different.
Park has not been kept up very wellPosting says wine tasting and ice-cream social. Neither happened.Posting says heated pool. Although it was a nice above ground pool it was not heatedWebsite mentioned a parade. Nope no such thing.Guy behind the counter was not very helpful or social. It is a beautiful area. Not sure i would stay again.
We saw the MOST adorable multicolored hotel whilr driving through Arco. We stopped by to take a picture and ended up perusing a yard sale. The super sweet gentleman running the sale happened to be the owner. He said he would be tickled if I posted on the “interwebs.”
Stayed one night after visiting Craters of the Moon National Monument. We had everything we needed. It’s an older campground and appears to have several permanent residents. Everybody was nice and the place was quiet. The inground pool was out of order but there was a nice above ground pool with enough depth to swim some short laps. Plenty of space to let my dog get in a little fetch and run. They play the National Anthem at sundown and Reveille in the morning. Quiet otherwise and reasonably priced for a night
Very cool place.Colourful exterior with eclectic decor interior and exterior..Very clean rooms and friendly staff. Accommodated all our needs. Good location with restaurant across the road with good food.Highly recommend.
The place was adorable. Very nicely decorated and is just super cute. We did arrive early and I felt like I was bothering the owners when we inquired about checking in early. We did find the room to be extremely hot and the air conditioner wasn’t working properly and was extremely loud. I will say that the sheets and towels were the softest I have ever felt in my life, though.
I’m going 5 ☆ We pulled up, and my children said, “we’re staying here.” 😊 After their thorough inspection, they were happy. Very clean and inviting. It was heartwarming as it brought back memories of staying at grandma’s. The beautiful quilts added to the nostalgic atmosphere.
