🐾 How to Handle Aggressive Dogs at the Dog Park – Real Advice from Dog Owners
Visiting the dog park can be a joyful activity for both you and your furry friend—but aggressive encounters can quickly […]
Located at 1000 Canal St, Riverside Park is a beloved green space nestled along the Huron River in Ann Arbor, MI. This welcoming park is known for its open spaces, river views, and pet-friendly trails that make it an ideal destination for dog owners seeking a relaxing spot to enjoy the outdoors with their pets. With recently paved pathways, shaded tree clusters, picnic tables, and a pavilion, Riverside Park offers both comfort and convenience for visitors and their furry companions.
Dog owners in Ann Arbor appreciate Riverside Park for its accessibility, including wheelchair-friendly entrances and parking, as well as ample onsite parking. The park is also great for families, featuring a playground for kids and plenty of space for outdoor games. While the park does not have a designated fenced dog run or specific off-leash area, dogs are welcome and can enjoy the scenic walking trails and natural river access. Visitors should be aware that some grassy areas may be muddy after rain and that ticks can occasionally be present, so a bit of caution is advised.
Nice park with a cluster of trees good for hammocking, a playground, and BBQ spots along the river. There is ambient noise from the surrounding hospital buildings, but good vibes and river access. Revised my rating because I went there on fourth of July and the locals out on one hell of a show. Thank gods there was a river nearby.
Don’t go for the kid’s playground but for the view. It’s a great spot for stone skipping or simply walking around. Recently paved, the pathway can be flooded pretty easily. Several picnic tables and grills, brand new. Accessible very close by car. Open spaces are suitable for playing outdoor games. If you go after a big rain most of the grass will be muddy. Sometimes I’ve found ticks so you just need to be careful.
Always enjoy it here.
My first time watching a music performance at this park.
It was a great set up!
It has restrooms. A pavilion for a dry picnic. Playset for the little people too!
Great park along the Huron River! My son Andrew and I love exploring all of the City of Ann Arbor parks!! 🙂
I find myself at this park several times a year! I drive patients to UofM for procedures and this is the perfect spot to wait! The walking trails are perfect and watching the river and wildlife never disappoints!
