This is actually the other side of Shadyside Memorial Park. It’s Anderson’s premiere park with two playgrounds, an amphitheater, boat dock, fishing, paddling, pickleball courts, a covered bridge, and beautiful trails around a lakes for walking, running, and biking. During certain hours you can get a kayak or paddleboat for free at the bait shop/diner.
This park is very ideal if you have children and like to walk. A new playground was completed this past summer so the equipment is all safe and the trails are idyllic and relaxing. They are also well maintained so that you can enjoy a stroll around the lake and not have to worry about broken paths.
I cannot praise this little gem of a place enough! This loop is almost exactly a mile so I can keep track of the exercise I get. Beautiful views and a nice way to get away from the stress Anderson can cause!
