FAQ for Double Bayou Park in Anahuac Texas:
I visited on a weekday. No other campers there. Total peace and quiet.Middle of nowhere. It was end of June and I didn’t see one Mosquito. It was mid afternoon on a cloudy day. I’m thinking fish could be caught from the dock, which is only set up to launch kayaks and canoes. I hope to actually camping for the free 3 days, soon. There’s is no designated camp spots. Also, I saw no fire rings. I have to ask about that. I’m supposing fires won’t be allowed. There is a big smoker pit there under a big pavilion. Playground for the kids. I will do another review, after camping there.
Update 2024 : not welcoming anymore (sheriffs lied to us making us move)!?!?😡😡😡Perfect place to stop, relax, kayaking and camp for three days free with a permit

Peaceful. The fish were biting but we didn’t take any home. Surprisingly no one was out there. We had the whole place to ourselves.
