Love Mondauk Park – I especially appreciate that it is dog-free. The gravel walking path is a nice, easy walk and there is always ample parking during weekdays.
This is a really nice park. Don’t wear black shoes though because the gravel trail will make them dusty. Also you can’t bring your dogs or ride a bike. I have neither so this park is for me. Other than that there are many things to do.
There are two baseball fields
There are basketball courts and I’m pretty sure I saw a volleyball court along side of some playgrounds.
Around the trail there are benches to sit on or stretch your ankles.
It really is very beautiful around here.
There are 3 parking lots so pretty much coming from any way you can park your car.
The trail is a mile and it has mile markers so you know where you are.
The bathrooms are in the middle which is convenient.
A nice walk especially during the fall when there are many colorful trees.
A great park for kids (and adults) of all ages! Many pieces of playground equipment for various age groups, along with basketball courts, open fields, disc golf, and sport fields on the other side of the park. The playground area is not fenced in, so if you have kids of different age groups or who like to run far, something to consider. There is also a nice gravel trail that loops around the park. Restrooms are located in the pavilion next to playgrounds.
Lots of parking available with multiple lots throughout the park.
Very clean and friendly area to walk. There’s plenty of people around (so you’ll feel safe). It’s not noisy or too busy (for those of you who like a little isolation so you can focus). The entire trail is 1 mile so you definitely get some good lapses in. I prefer to go in the morning ☺️ Plenty of benches to sit, and areas to stretch. It’s a pretty neat place. I also really appreciate there’s no dogs allowed (again it’s very clean). Family friendly all around.
Beautiful park with lots to do for both big kids & little kids! Went here to work a company outing. I LOVE how they allow you to rent a portion of the park for your own private gatherings! GREAT location for kids & adults as it’s just an all around nice atmosphere. The woman we dealt with was extremely kind & welcoming and you can definitely tell those caring for the park take a lot of pride in what they do!
They offer a very large playground with a nice size sandbox for the little ones. They also offer several baseball fields, volleyball fields & basketball courts. There are nice, clean public restrooms available as well as working & clean water fountains.
If I lived in the area this would definitely be a park I’d visit with my daughter frequently. Sadly I do not live in the area and the playgrounds & parks in the city are not nearly as well cared for. It’s nice to see a community and it’s members keep places like that clean and up to par so families can enjoy fun, clean & most importantly, SAFE environments with their children.
