Sanlando Park, located in the heart of Altamonte Springs, Florida, is a popular local park known for its scenic, shaded paved trails—a section of the Wekiva Trail—that welcome both people and their leashed pups. While dogs are not permitted inside the main park’s recreational zones, pet owners can utilize the ample parking at Sanlando Park to access the adjoining dog-friendly hiking and walking trails. The leafy paths are well-maintained, offer plenty of shade for even the warmest Florida days, and provide a pleasant spot for your dog to safely enjoy fresh air and exercise.
The park features a wide range of amenities for all visitors, including playgrounds, covered picnic pavilions with barbecue grills, restroom facilities, and sports courts for basketball, tennis, and volleyball. Although there is not a dedicated off-leash dog park or fenced dog area, Sanlando Park stands out as a top destination for Altamonte Springs residents seeking pet-friendly walking routes in a clean, attractive environment. With year-round access, tranquil scenery, and convenient parking, it’s an excellent choice for families and dog lovers alike.
Super nice and clean. Great amenities, trails, courts. Signs seemed to suggest no pets, does that include trails? If so, seem a bit restrictive for those wishing to exercise with their pet.

This is a lovely neighborhood park in central Altamonte Springs that my fur baby and I enjoy strolling. It has just over a mile of scenic shaded paved trails, and is actually a section of the Wekiva Trail.

Dogs are not allowed in the actual park. However you can park your car here if you’d like to access the trail with your dog. Love all the different sport areas. Ample parking. Nicely kept. Would visit again.

I love the park and trail. It’s beautiful for sun gazing. You can ride your bike and go for a jog on the trail. They have plenty of things to do. Basketball 🏀, Tennis 🎾 hand ball and softball field. It’s very clean and quiet. I love relaxing in my thoughts here!
