Although it was beautiful as you entered the park, all but 1 trail is open. The rest are closed for hurricane repair. Was super excited to get to the lake but no access 😢 Still able to see butterflies and cute plants!

Although half the trails were closed when we went it was still a very lovely place to explore. There were no bear encounters. It would appear that the wildlife are used to humans though we didn’t bring food because we don’t usually do that unless it’s specified that it’s allowed but seemed like they wanted food. Very beautiful park. Definitely returning when they reopen the other side.

Peaceful place with plenty of sitting areas, shaded benches, gazebos and designated fishing plus enjoyable boardwalk/ trails. For years it had been impossible to visit due to being closed every time we were in the area. Today was our lucky day. Open from Thursday to Sunday. Swings for kids and grills are also plentiful. Will be back on a Thursday definitely- for some relaxation for me and fishing for my hubby. A piece of heaven in Altamonte.
