Dope hike leading up to the waterfall. About 40-50 minutes each way, I recommend water and a snack or two. Starts out kinda sunny and dry but once you go underneath the bridge the mountains provide a lot of shade (much needed in the hotter seasons!)
If your looking for an adventure during the summer and freshen up, here is good spot to check out. Free parking 3 blocks alway front the gate. Just be respectfull. Walk up to the gate and open the door and be on your way. Gate closes around 7pm or so. 20 minutes into the canyon there is a Water Fall. Plenty of Water till the end of August. Good place to go hiking or bike riding. Dogs allow.
I am not an expert hiker all though it was due able for a active smoker, I did break a sweat and when I went itbwas 7 am walked at a normal speed, was back down by 10ish am.
Great trail leading to a pretty waterfall. Lots of stream crossings. Beginner fitness level with a few moderate inclines and some tricky rocks.
Beautiful canyon hike gaining a couple thousand feet if you go up to mt. Wilson
Bring water for sure and get there early on busy weekends. Also on the way out stop at Roma Deli for their excellent sandwich.
