Went on a hot and sunny day (96 degrees) and it was comfortable due to the shade. The whole trail has coverage which makes this a great hike for a hot day. You can park at the top and hike down the ridge trail (about 3 miles) or you
can park at the campsite parking lot and hike from there (1 mile). Great hike for kids. I will probably bring my dog when it’s a little cooler.
