This is a nice park for the kids to play in. It has picnic tables and a well kept playground.
Very small but it has two jungle gyms, two regular swings and two infant swings, a few tables, lots of grass and a very small cement walking path. It is connected go a larger grass field with a fence. Our first time with my 1 year old and we have a peaceful time. Only one other small family came in the last twenty minutes of our 1 hour long visit, otherwise we had the park to ourselves.
Great park. Street parking is limited. The park is not gated so you will have to keep a close eye on the kids. Usually clean. There’s a little free library and plenty of seating. Swings are not broken which is a huge plus with alpine parks.
Nature meets art here! Very fun to explore the rock crevices with the kids. Always a surprise around each turn. We went in January when it was nice and cool. You climb at your own risk so keep you little ones close! They have lots of dogs and turkeys on the property that my children enjoyed as well 😊 all very friendly! The tower was fun too!The gift shop has a very interesting collection of historical and modern art. Unfortunately nothing available to buy to remember the day. I would’ve bought a postcard or magnet, etc. Fairly priced- highly recommended!
The only park in Alpine and you could be cited for walking through the park with your dogs. Been to many parks throughout the world (and mind you, much, much nicer than this one) and have never seen such a prohibition. Strange considering it is East County. I thought East County Repubs were against gov’t overregulation… another example of their hypocrisy. Who came up with this asinine regulation? I feel like if I walk my dogs an animal control officer with Sheriff’s deputies will turn right up like in the movie “A Dog’s Way Home.”
