Bud Carter Park, nestled in historic Alpha, Ohio, offers a tranquil spot for dog owners and their pets to unwind. Conveniently located along the popular Creekside Trail, this dog-friendly park provides serene surroundings, shady resting spots, and easy access to the trail—making it a favorite for pet-friendly walks and afternoon breaks. Its accessible walking paths and shaded benches create a welcoming atmosphere for visitors of all ages and abilities, including wheelchair users.
Pet owners and families enjoy the park’s sturdy bench next to a Little Free Library, ideal for reading or watching your dog explore on-leash. The close proximity to local historical sites, such as the Alpha Museum and mill, adds to the park’s charm and makes it a unique community gem. While the park is well-suited for a relaxing stroll or pet-friendly outing, it does not feature typical dog park amenities like fenced enclosures or off-leash zones.
This is along the Creekside Trail. It is a nice rest area and has some interesting history about the area. There aren’t any restrooms.
Not only is the meat first rate, so is the deli counter and daily specials. Their milk also lasts longer than expected
A nice little rest stop right in the middle of good ol’ Alpha, Ohio (the first county seat of Greene County). There’s some nice shade and a sturdy bench located right next to a Little Free Library. You’ll have a nice view of the historic mill and the Alpha Museum (after which the Little Free Library is modeled). So, take a minute, sit down, and enjoy this gem of a town.
