I stopped here on the way back to Reading, PA, and I was pleasantly surprised to see how that so many people were out enjoying nature in this park. I wish Reading prioritized the need for similar green spaces that offer an oasis from the city. I appreciate that there were a ton of established trees, especially around the parking area which provides shade on hotter days. There were also lots of benches along the walking trails and restroom facilities on site.
Very nice park, plenty of room to spread out, walking trails, beaches, man made lake.

Awesome as always. It’s good to see the deer here (and not on the road!). They’re friendly. The path is always clean and clear. It’s bathroom friendly which is a HUGE plus. Can’t walk other parks like Cedar Beach because they close the bathrooms for the winter. Bottom loop is ~1.38 miles and the more difficult loop up past the statue comes out to 2.25 miles if you take the long way. They say it closed at sunset, but I’ve been walking at night with flashlight. It’s very calm, quiet, and lovely.
