Patriot Park in Allentown, Pennsylvania, is a popular community spot known for its wide-open green spaces, clean paved trails, and beautiful flower gardens, including the well-loved rose garden. With easy access for physically challenged visitors, level walking paths, and plenty of seating areas, it’s ideal for dog owners looking for a dog-friendly park to walk their pets, enjoy a picnic, or simply relax among scenic surroundings. The park is generally well maintained, offering a serene environment perfect for family outings and peaceful strolls with your furry friend.
While dogs are welcome, they must remain on-leash throughout the park, as there is no dedicated fenced off-leash area. Amenities such as restrooms, picnic tables, and nearby parking make visits convenient, though parking may be limited during peak times. The park stands out among dog parks in Allentown for its lush flora, cleanliness, paved paths, and tranquil atmosphere, making it a prime destination for those seeking pet-friendly recreation in the Lehigh Valley.
Its a softball field and the backstop is like 20 feet deep any past ball you can almost expect the runner to get 2 bases.. i know dont let any balls get past.. easier said then done.. easpecially when your hosting 14u tournaments…easy solution is move home plate back about 8 feet and then the field is perfect.. but i guess that never occured to the people that decided to take a field thats designed for minor leauge baseball/ softball and make it a field for kids softball
Great snack bar including hot food. Parking Close by to entrance. Easy access for physically challenged. Bleachers for seating
Now they take apple pay, Venmo! That makes it 10x better. Softball park food is always the best. I always enjoy the Friday or Saturday night games!! Highly recommended.
One thing, make sure you get there early because parking can be a bit limited.
Older field and scoreboard. Plenty of seating. Pay to park and pay to get in as it’s a privately owned ball field. Parking was NULL. and entry into park was NULL. for out game. Consession stand had reasonably priced food options with quick service. Friendly attendants in lots and in the stadium. I was able to bring in my personal cooler with drinks and snacks without issue.
Went to watch a women’s fast pitch softball tournament. The facility is really nice, clean, and plenty of reasonably priced concessions. The announcer could have been a little more involved in the actual game (like letting us know who was pitching and batting and switching off). And I wish there were more people there. All in all a great experience and will go again.
