Nice easy bike ride from canal park down to the boat launch in Easton. The trail is generally well kept with only a couple areas that could use some attention.

One of my favorite parks in Allentown. Nice to walk next to the canal and the river, very peaceful majority of the time. However, lately, as of the past year, there has been a odd mentally disturbed woman on the trail constantly she harasses walkers and bikers the city really needs to send somebody out here for this.

Great access to the Lehigh River, D&L Trail, and Lehigh Canal. Public restrooms sometimes available. There’s a pavilion that can be reserved with Allentown City Parks. The park is in need of some love and care: there’s a perpetual litter problem, ear splitting music, jet skiers who routinely violate basic boating laws and safety, and occasional car break-ins have been reported. The park is regularly policed by the City of Allentown and they’ve stepped up their patrolling of the park.

Always loved coming here. Still very peaceful and relaxing. Generally clean. As a teenager in the 80s, we would come every weekend in summer and cook out across the bridge, sadly that area is no longer accessible. Looks like the parks department finally trimmed the weeds along the canal. Thanks for that.

I really enjoy riding bike in this trail, it is very well maintained, the people you come across are friendly and keep their distance. Everyone follows road rules so its very easy to navigate, even when there’s others walking. Theres parking , benches along the way, and of coarse the water. If you are looking to decompress after work, or get out of the house to get some air this is a nice place to do it .
