Grist Mill Dog Park

Grist Mill Dog Park is a large, fenced-in dog park located at Mt Zephyr Park in Alexandria, VA. It offers a spacious area where dogs of all sizes can roam and play off-leash. The park features amenities such as kiddie pools, water bowls, a hand pump for water, picnic tables, and benches for visitors. There are stations with poop bags and toys, making it convenient for pet owners. The park is mostly dirt and gravel with some grassy areas and is lightly wooded, providing both sun and shade. It is wheelchair accessible and has a welcoming community atmosphere, though it does not have separate areas for small or large dogs or a double-gated entry. While parking is available, there are no paved paths or dedicated agility equipment.

Nice park. A little walk from the car but really a great place to run. Not too many other dogs when we came but our boy had a great run. Park is mostly grass which makes it a nicer place than others. Lightly wooded so plenty sun and shade. A little hard to find using gps.
Of all the dog parks in this area, this one happens to be my favorite. You are within good company of the dog owners that come to the area regularly and nearly all dogs are socialized well. Patrons are respectful and conscientious of their responsibilities over their pets.
We have been visting the area and we feel lucky to have such a big dog park so closeby. It was a lot more packed on Fridays and the weekends if you’re looking for doggie socialization. There is no separate small dog section like at some other dog parks, but it is big enough so there is a lot of space.
Good, fenced-in dog park with plenty of space for big or small doggos to roam. Nice community of people come here as well. Stations provided with poop bags and water for the pups. Tables and benches available for the humans. Only critique is that the park is made of dirt/gravel and no grass, but there are trees!
It is a huge fenced in dog park. It has kiddie pools and water bowls and a hand pump for water. There are benches and picnic tables to sit down at. There are 3 stations equipped with poop bags and they are usually balls and other kind of toys left around from previous guests.
My puppy loves coming here.
