Located in Albuquerque, New Mexico, Manzano Mesa Dog Park is a conveniently situated off-leash area created from a previously unused lot, serving dog owners and their canine companions in the Southeast area. This dog park in Albuquerque offers a basic, fenced environment where local dogs can enjoy exercise and socialization, though visitors should be aware it is mostly wood chip-covered and relatively small in size. The park is appreciated for its availability in the neighborhood, but reviewers note it is often only half maintained, with occasional cleanliness issues due to irresponsible dog owners.
Despite some shortcomings, such as limited shade, a lack of water spigots for dogs, few seating options, and minimal shelter, Manzano Mesa remains a handy option for pet owners seeking a dog-friendly space close to home. With its fenced area, the park provides safety for off-leash play, making it a popular spot for locals looking for a dog park in Albuquerque capable of supporting quick outings and neighborly meetups.
Kinda pathetic as far as dog parks go no water provided not enough mulch and a hole in the fence e

Good: very happy that the city was able to turn a useless dirt lot into a dog park for the people who live in the surrounding areas. before this opened, we had to either go to the USS Bullhead park by the VA or the Skyline park up Tramway. we have met many dog and human friends coming here every weekend.
Bad: very disappointed that it’s actually the dog OWNERS that are the worst part of the park. every time we go, there are so many piles of poop that are not picked up and we take it upon ourselves to pick up as much as we can while we’re there. we always, ALWAYS watch our dogs and have bags ready so we can be clean, responsible, and respectful. if you cannot pick up after your dogs, you probably don’t deserve to have dogs; that is one of the most basic signs of respect as a dog owner.
another new development is owners allowing their dogs to dig large holes. if you are watching your dog actively destroy the park and you don’t do anything about it, that is very disrespectful and irresponsible of you. it’s dangerous for both dogs and humans for there to be large gaping holes in the ground in a public area. if a dog is running and sprains an ankle because of a hole that your dog has created, you should be ashamed of yourself to allow that to happen and not do anything to rectify the situation.

I think the main issue here is people want to come have lunch, relax or rest after exorcising so why did they place every bench and table out in the burning sun? This place needs to be rearranged. Does everybody want to sit on the dodo covered grass? Genius!
