Alamosa Dog Park is a new addition to the pet-friendly parks of Albuquerque, located just off Airport Dr SW. This spacious dog park offers two separate areas for dogs to run and play off-leash, catering to a variety of pups and their owners seeking an outdoor escape. While the park is still being improved, local dog owners appreciate the large, open spaces, one tree, and a bench in each section, although shade is limited in the afternoons.
Visitors should be prepared before heading out—bring your own water for your dog, as there are currently no fountains or bowls available. Don’t forget your own poop bags, since waste stations are not installed yet. While there is nearby parking, be aware that a sidewalk does not connect directly to the entrance, so pets may have to cross some hot asphalt. Though still a work in progress, Alamosa Dog Park has the potential to become a standout destination for dog owners in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
