This is one of the best access points on the Monocacy River for wade fishing. This area of the river has a healthy Smallmouth Bass population due to excellent structure, and gradient flow. The park is county maintained with paved parking, restrooms, picnic areas, and a concrete boat launch with steps providing easy access to and from the river.

*Strong water inflatables/tubes that won’t pop after hitting a rock ( don’t forget a pump)
*water shoes/ crocs that allow you to comfortably walk in the water without being bruised by rocks
Cute little park along the water. Great place to take some fall foliage pics. Kids playground, picnic area and some walking trails are also available.

Remember, it is a local and wild place, snake or ticks might be around. I haven’t seen any of those, but who knows.
Small local park, and a lovely spot to sit and watch the river flow by. A little hard to access that spot but that’s nature for you.
