Oct is a great time for the drive. Beautiful fall colors. All three campgrounds along the trace had nice clean bathrooms.
Late March mid-week stay for 2 nights, place was empty and quiet. Bathrooms were clean, no showers. Water spigot available at campground loop.
I visited this place as a child and brought my children here today. We took our stroller although it was a bit difficult. It is a beautiful place!
