Where do I even start !!! First time going camping in 6 years and I’m very very impressed. The campground was extremely clean including the bathrooms. It even has Amazing views from everywhere on the campsite . Our camp host Danny was sure to help us whenever we needed. Danny even helped us with our car troubles. The campground has a few trails to walk on , a playground and a huge swimming area.
What a beautiful lake and a great hike. We did the red trail that was connected to a white trail and then the lake. I do not advise taking your dogs on the red trail as it is a little wet in there and we did encounter wildlife that may be dangerous to your animals.
Only came for the trails which are quite nice. The lake loop is wide, flat gravel with wood paths over the water. Lots of restrooms and benches, plenty of shade. Limited VZW signal throughout the park but I usually had 1-2 bars of 4G.
Very peaceful. Good roads going in. We took the bike out on a little day trip. Very clean and well kept. The west side of the lake (from hwy 15 side) is paved. All other entry points are gravel.
Great place to camp or just get away for the day and very affordable! Bathrooms and showers around the lake, multiple walking trails and pet friendly! I love it every time I go and it’s really clean!
