There is a porta pot. There are 2 areas to separate large and small dogs. It is large and nice. Across the parking lot is Singer Road Park which most people think is just part of the dog park. It has a small pavilion and is Abingdon’s best kept secret. It has fabulous views and a large grass area frequently used for dogs playing fetch with ball launchers.
The pictures are taken from the small pavilion and show the view in all 4 directions. The dog park itself is down in one.
You need to bring your own water.

I recently found this hidden gem of a dog park that’s only a few minutes from home. Be aware that there’s 2 parking lots. The first lot you come upon is at the bottom of the hill. That’s a great place to park if you want to walk the trail. The trail is 1 mile. I only gave this listing 4 stars because the trail has that big, sharp gravel on it. Most of the grass & weeds surrounding it are not soft either. I could tell it’d occasionally bother my dog’s feet but he mostly seemed happy. If you drive up the hill following the dog prints on the road you’ll get to the second parking lot which is directly next to the caged in areas where you can let your dog off the leash. All the dogs & people we encountered there were nice. The views were awesome from the top of the hill. I also really enjoyed seeing all the different kinds of birds & flowers on the trail.

Very nice and clean dog park. 2 separate areas for small and large dogs. It was nice to see everyone there today was responsible and attentive to their pets. That’s not always the case.

Just recently found out about this place and I have been missing out !! It’s such a beautiful area and plenty of space/land for dogs to play ! There’s a nice trail around the park, a very beautiful view at the top of the hill and two large fenced in areas, one for large dogs and the other for small dogs which is great and helpful ! There is a picnic area, benches spread out, a porta potty, trashcans next to the fenced in area and poop bags are also available. I give it four stars because there was a lot of dog poop that has not been picked up from previous dog owners before hand despite there being clear rules of picking up after your dogs, and another reason is because some people tend to have their dogs off leash which can lead to safety concerns. So just a friendly reminder always clean up after your pet and always have your dogs on leash !

Love it here. I was wondering if anyone knew if anyone cuts the grass or “take care of lawn” ect in the fenced.in area. Im willing to volunteer with a couple friends fam n my kids. N get it mowed cleaned up n weed a wacked . I love this and how safe I feel going here. If anyone knows if anyone I can contact to make sure they won’t get mad or if they pay someone to do it I don’t wanna step in anyone s toes. Thanks n God bless
