I like to go there to play hockey on Sundays. Skate rentals are a dollar.. they also rent out cross country skis (I’ve never done it, but seems fairly popular). Its usually not too busy. In the summer the hockey rink doubles as a coral for pets… its a good place to let your dog run free for awhile. The worker is always very friendly.
It’s probably been a decade since I’ve had it, but their hot chocolate was always very tasty.
I am at Manor Park at least twice a week for baseball practice. Baseball field is well-kept and the kids have plenty of room. There is also a play area, restrooms and a dog park located here.
The dog park is a good place for dogs to run around and play without a leash on. The grass is fairly maintained and some dogs are regulars there. There are disposable bags for the dogs business as well.
This lovely outdoor rink is what makes Aberdeen a classy town in my mind. My husband and I have so much fun here; it gives us an opportunity to play hockey that we otherwise would not have. Other people at the rink will play with and against us and we have boards, nets, and a mesh backdrop. There is a warming hoyse with skate rentals, hot cocoa, and bathrooms, and a second ice sheet without boards for people not playing hockey. The ice is scraped daily and flooded regularly. Playing under the lights at night is magical.
I love going to the dog park and overall people take great care of it. Most of the time people clean up after their dogs and there are always bags stocked to use to clean up. It is always well maintained.
