FAQ for Sportmans Park in Aberdeen Idaho:
Absolute rip-off. Most expensive place I’ve ever camped and for nothing. We traveled for five hours with paddle boards and floaties just to arrive to an empty lake. It was just a nasty smelling mud hole. Whoever took the reservations over the phone had no integrity. They are scammers who just want to take your money. There was no warnings. They could have been decent human beings and let us know prior to our travels but they did not. And the showers were absolutely freezing!
I actually got photos of the park when no one was here…beautiful well maintained park with a nice playground for the kids plenty of shade trees with a walking path all around it.free live events at the stage in the summer from July 4th to August 15th…
This is by far one of the coolest play sets I’ve had the pleasure of enjoying with my family. The park it’s self is beautiful and shaded which is amazing because ironically most parks are in open areas and are always hot. So really awesome. The memorial and gun monument are historically awesome. My son enjoyed turning the steering gear on the 40mm anti-everything guns. Shells that size stop just about anything 😁.Steep slides and stairs. Random drop offs so parents need to be present for younger children.
Great campground with lots of shade and nice grassy area to play on. Flushing toilets with showers! Very convenient access to the water. We also enjoyed the 1 mile walk to the overlook spots. Highly recommend the glamping option through Chet’s Rentals!
If I give 1 star, can everybody else stay away? Just kidding, of course. Sportsman’s is a little gem campground and sportsman’s access to the lake just under an hour drive from Pocatello. Complete with RV hookups, bookable pavilion, and flushable toilets, the two campgrounds are just seconds away from the boat dock. We’ve been coming here for a few years for a family reunion and plan on many more!
Great camp site. Lots of shade, Beach is rock and mud, but it has a nice floating dock and boat ramps to launch from. Has flush toilets and showers . No online reservation but you can do it by phone.
This is the best place to take kids camping! There is a playground, a sand volleyball area, and vests to borrow. There’s so many shade trees and the grass is so nice. All the camp spots are big. We live just a few miles away but we love to say camp or even overnight with the kids. We don’t have to be far from home but still enjoy the camping experience!
Great park! They recently put in an amazing playground. There are a couple pavilions for reservations, and it’s in a great location, too. It’s across from the grocery store and the library, which is a plus. The park also has free wifi!
