After buying Dynamic Nature’s Guide to Sunken Meadow State Park on Amazon, our excursion turned out rather well!

The book highlights the secret attractions in the park and provides helpful advice for organizing your trip.

The author clearly worked very hard to create the guide that would be both useful and fun. This information is very essential to improve your experience should you be visiting Sunken Meadow.

Very quiet, relaxed beach and boardwalk. Not as big as Jones beach. Very beautiful clean place to have a picnic. Saw people kayaking and fishing at the shore. Went there at 6pm and there wasn’t any lifeguards. Saw some horseshoe crabs swimming in the shallow water. Again, very beautiful place to relax at.

The weather was perfect for a walk and the trails were peaceful and scenic. Great place to enjoy nature and get some fresh air. Just be mindful of ticks this time of year; worth taking a few precautions.

We love this park and have been going for years. There is a nice boardwalk and plenty of parking. We were happy to see signs posted for no loud music on the beach because sometimes on weekends it can be loud. We prefer weekday trips there. They are also starting to post their summer beach yoga program. Additionally there are some areas closed for endangered species of birds for those bird lovers. No pets are allowed and bikes on the Boardwalk are only allowed before 9 am.

This was a beautiful place to walk by the water and feel the sense of calm that water provides. I remember seeing benches by the parking lot, a staircase down to get to the sand, and people with their pets and/friends. It was lovely to visit and I would return again.

I didn’t need a restroom so I cannot comment on it.

Enjoy your time there if you have the opportunity.
