The room itself was okay, unfortunately the floor we were on smelled like marijuana and beer. I booked this hotel mainly for my son who was looking forward to the indoor pool. Unfortunately the pool was not heated and was colder than it was outside.
Room was clean a few dings and small signs of wear in the room, but very comfortable stay. Will be coming back when I need a place ti stay in the Islip area.
Good location. Convenient in house restaurant and bar… Room was well done.
But… It’s 1am and I’m looking up bugs I’ve never seen. I found this in the bathroom (photo) and researched to find out it is a carpet beetle. This room should be cleaned and sanitized better. I took all the sheets off the bed to check for bed bugs and other intruders. Not a very comforting thought. If it weren’t so late, I’d have probably switched hotels.
I arrived and was greeted by Ms. Donelle Ortiz. Her hospitality was a breath of fresh air to a travel weary man on business. She was very personable and professional. My stay thus far has been very good. May her hospitality continue to shine.
This is a true 3 star experience. I’ve stayed here twice. The first time I cleaned the filter on my AC unit myself because the air I was breathing was clearly not ok. 2nd time it was a cleaner room. Front desk help is hit or miss depending on who you get. Phone didn’t work in the room. When I told them, they just said, yeah, hit 0. But hey, it’s Long Island and things are expensive.
