Beautiful park with nature trails, farm animals, playground, orchard and nature center. Most controversial issue associated with the park is related to its parking being restricted only to Smithtown residents. However you can legally park in about two blocks from park’s entrance (that’s where signs prohibiting street parking finally disappear) and be in the park in less than 5 mins. It would be fairer to allow fee-based parking to non-residents. This issue aside, this park is one of the best of its kind in Long Island.

Really nice park with lots to offer for kids and family. We went in fall so things at the farm were slow, but it was fun for the kids to see the animals and walk on the nature trail. The new playground is fantastic as is the picnic area that was recently rebuilt. check it out!!

The farm section is smaller than I thought. I would have loved for my kids to have been able to feed the animals but I understand their reasoning as to why. The playground is pretty decent. The splash park part was closed so we didn’t get to experience it, maybe we’ll come back when it’s a little warmer outside.
