Located in the heart of Roslyn, New York, the William Cullen Bryant Preserve offers pet owners a beautiful and peaceful escape filled with art, nature, and dog-friendly trails. This preserve is known for its scenic, dog-friendly hiking trails and beautifully maintained gardens, as well as an impressive outdoor art collection from the adjacent Nassau County Art Museum. It’s a popular spot for relaxing strolls, peaceful reading, or exploring with your furry friend.
This park is pet-friendly and welcomes dogs on its trails, making it a great destination for anyone seeking dog-friendly hiking in Roslyn. Visitors will appreciate the accessible walkways, onsite parking, and the tranquil pond. Families will also find the park kid-friendly, as it features amenities and activities suitable for children. While restrooms are available inside the main building, visitors should note that access may require a donation and is sometimes limited based on feedback. Don’t forget to bring insect repellent in warmer months due to mosquitoes!
Came here today with my two 3 year olds & was rejected the restroom unless I left a donation… had no cash asked if they could charge a card because my kids needed to use the bathroom so bad & they said no. No to two 3 year olds… what horrible old women they have running the museum. I come here all the time & to be treated like that is so disturbing I will never be back here
Many works of art on the grounds, but you’ll enjoy plenty of natural beauty. Take in the latest exhibit at the museum, too.
I recently visited the William Cullen Bryant Preserve and enjoyed its peaceful atmosphere. The gardens are well-maintained, and the pond and walking trails provide a pleasant stroll. Various sculptures and art installations are scattered throughout.
Be prepared for mosquitoes, so bring repellent. Restrooms are available inside the main building. A nice spot for a relaxing walk or some quiet time in nature.
So peaceful and beautiful. Never knew this place existed. Sat and read a book. Wish it had bathroom but I highly recommend for a nice walk with a view.
An excellent park in the grounds of the Nassau County Art Museum. The park itself contains many sculptures that cannot fit within the limited space of the museum building. Even if you are skipping the museum itself due to the entrance fee, the park is free and definitely worth a visit!
