Always a favorite spot for my pup. Would appreciate if owners stopped holding their dog on the leash instead of letting them go. Do not get upset if my dog runs into you when they are there to play in the water. Not for humans to just sit there and be in the way. That’s my only gripe…..quite a few entitled individuals but it is great and my pup loves it

So Frida’s not really swimming around too much even though snuck her onto the beach. It might’ve been because I gave her 100 mg of THC which she loves, but it doesn’t make her to very active dog. Having this spin around during the spring time would’ve been a much better experience. Frida is doing fine now and is able to walk thank God, and daddy knows to not test her with his THC accoutrements.

Prospect Park Dog Beach is an excellent spot for dogs to cool off and play. The off-leash area includes a sectioned swimming zone where dogs can safely enjoy the water. Owners are considerate, keeping an eye on their pets and respecting those that need space. It’s an ideal activity for hot summer days, with plenty of splashing and fun. A great option for dog owners looking to exercise and entertain their pets in a friendly, outdoor setting.

The water is fenced so that the dogs can only go so far and then everything behind you (towards park and ball fields) is open/unfenced. Great spot for dogs to take a dip and cool off in the summer.
