This pond in the morning is breath taking. Nice area to walk around and get your day started. Near McDonalds and Carvel and Exxon Gas Station. The park has a veteran and 9/11 memorial on display. As well as Christmas decor during the holidays. During summer and spring is a nice view of geese, ducks, snapping turtles, and also a Gazebo to sit around in. In the back is a lovely playground for the kids to play and tons of areas to sit around and trails.
This place is disgusting. The pond desperately needs dredging, the water is scummy and floating with what appears to be a soapy discharge from somewhere. In another year or two there will be no pond because it will have been filled in with silt and trash. Already there is an island of junk and silt approaching half the size of the pond. Once again our local government has taken our tax dollars and utterly failed us.
Halls Pond is scenic to go to. Very pretty. There is a pond with Ducks & geese. There is a playground next to it. There is a gazebo. It’s nice to walk around the pond. Many varieties of trees are there. There are also monuments and statues honoring and remembering those who bravely served our country, and also our neighborhood brave men & women who lost their lives in NYC World Trade Center on 9-11-2001.
Halls Pond Park offers a charming escape into nature, even on a gloomy day. This small local park features a picturesque pond, inviting grassy areas, and well-maintained benches, some of which appear new. Trash cans are conveniently placed, ensuring the area remains clean and pleasant. The park is especially appealing for families, with a delightful playground where kids can play and ample space for parents to relax on benches or in a gazebo. Watching children feed geese and ducks on the pond adds to the park’s serene atmosphere. The park’s beauty is further enhanced by families taking pictures under the blooming trees, adding a touch of natural beauty to their visit. Additionally, pet owners will appreciate that pets are allowed in the park. The only downside is the parking situation, as visitors must park on the main road if arriving by car. Despite this, Halls Pond Park remains a lovely spot to connect with nature and enjoy a peaceful outing.”
